My Sad Little Pumpkin

Today was our playgroup Halloween party. We were originally going to have it outside at a park, but it rained so we held it in the mall play area. It was fun seeing everyone in costumes. They had Halloween story time, Spooky Bingo, and coloring. The spooky treats that everyone made were so clever! We all got a treat bag full of goodies on our way out. It was a great party.

William, however, wasn't feeling very festive. He wanted me to hold him the whole time and didn't enjoy wearing his pumpkin costume. It was such a shame he didn't wear it for long because it was so cute. I wish I could have passed on my 'festive' gene to him. He was such a sad little pumpkin!

That first picture is priceless!! You're a fabulous mother for trying anyway. Someday he'll get into it.

I had to coerce Riley into wearing his Spiderman costume tonight for our trunk-or-treat party. He was NOT going to wear it until I told him that he couldn't get any treats without a costume on. It took him about 30-min to ponder this before finally coming to me and telling me he wanted to be Spiderman again and get treats. :)

What a fun day Heidi!! He is such a cutie!! I don't know what it is with kids in pumpkin costumes, they just look so scrumptous. Sad face or not, he still looks yummy. :-) Your so lucky to have play groups. I still feel like I'm pulling teeth to get to really know anyone out here. It feels like people are a little clickish more so than most places. It can get a little frustrating. (sigh)..

He's probably sad because his festive-loving mom made him wear that gay pumpkin oufit. J/K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is a cute lil' punkin wihtout the outfit anyway.

I love the costume! I'm a sucker for little pumpkins. Maddie was a pumpkin this year too. By the way, your play group sounds awesome! I wish we had something like that around here.

Oh...but he is still so cute. I had fun chatting with you at Ana's house the other day. My blog is now private. Send me an email at welives08atgmaildotcom and I'll invite you.

The eyes said a lot. He probably had Pumpkin Fever. I think Sean should have been father pumpkin since William is a Sean clone. They could have been twins.

Doesn't your son realize that other than food and water for survival, and maybe parents for money here and there, Halloween is the most important thing in his life?! Haven't you taught ANYTHING to that child?!?!
